Companies like Amgen and Caterpillar are taking away health benefits from their employees because of this new law. It’s only a matter of time before companies start taking away benefits from most people and health insurance becomes more expenseive than they are now. OMG. How do Dems spin this as something good. It makes everything worse!

I completely agree with you, my idea is that Obama needed to cement his name as the “great healthcare reformist” democrats have been trying to pass this crap for decades, and with the overwhelming majority of liberals in congress and the Senate, this was a perfect time. There is still hope, analysts are projecting a massive conservative victory in november. If so they will attempt to repeal the bill, then Obama will veto, and if the republicans can rally together and get 2/3 of the vote healthcare reform will be out the door.

Healthcare is a universal right. It should not be subject to the economic gains of capitalism.
EDIT: But as far as fixing healthcare so that everyone has it and it’s coming out of no one’s pockets – that’s a question that would take generations to answer.
