If your car slips on ice and you have an accident, does your insurance cover it?

Let’s say your car slips on a patch of ice and you break your headlight. You were driving cautiously, slowly, and you could not have avoided it.

Will your car insurance ever cover weather-related accidents such as these?
I’m just trying to give examples to understand how weather-related accidents are covered. I promise I didn’t slip on ice in July :P

I just want to understand things a little better since I live in Massachusetts which gets a lot of snow in the winter.
