Your best bet is to do some comparison shopping. There are free quote services in Canada that only take a few minutes to come back with the best prices after you type in your details.
Another thing you should do is look into student discounts, especially if you have good grades. You can often get a reduced price. Too, when you choose your car, avoid high performance vehicles (they scare insurance companies especially when young people are behind the wheel).
