Car insurance for a 15 year old is going to be ridiculously high. Probably $1200 or so per year for a nice car, less for an old one.

there are more factors than the car. its going to cost you a LOT because you are inexperienced. the best thing you can do is buy a car you only need liability on to keep your rates low. if you need full coverage, its REALLY gonna wipe you out finacially.

With a kid, they’re nuts if they buy you a brand new car. It could easily cost $8,000 a year, if they need full coverage with a new driver, maybe a lot more. The cheapest thing to do is buy something for cash, no loan, and with four doors. I’d buy a $2,000 beater, and keep just liability coverage on it. That way, the insurance should be $2,000 a year or less, until you get your first ticket/accident.
